Hello!

My name is Caleb Walcott-George

I am a PhD candidate and Presidential Fellow at the University at Buffalo where I study ice sheets and glaciers with Dr. Jason Briner. I use a variety of different techniques including cosmogenic nuclides, luminescence dating, GIS methods, and simple numerical models to understand changes in ice sheets and glaciers during the Quaternary. I am also passionate about diversity and equity initiatives in the geosciences, specifically in cryosphere and field sciences. Previously, I earned a MS in geology at the University at Buffalo and a BA in both geology and German at Middlebury College. When not thinking about glaciers, I enjoy cooking, reading, skiing, canoeing, cycling, and spending time with my cats.
