Hello!

My name is Caleb Walcott-George

I am an incoming (Fall 2025) assistant professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Kentucky. I use a variety of different techniques including luminescence dating, cosmogenic nuclides, GIS methods, and simple numerical models to understand changes in ice sheets and glaciers during the Quaternary. I earned my MS and PhD at the University at Buffalo, where I worked with Dr. Jason Briner. Previously, I earned a BA in both geology and German at Middlebury College. When not thinking about glaciers, I enjoy cooking, reading, skiing, canoeing, cycling, and spending time with my cats.
