We dated the retreat of the Cordilleran Ice Sheet in southeast Alaska using cosmogenic nuclide dating to determine whether areas currently above sea level were ice-free during the Last Glacial Maximum and available to support human habitation along a proposed migration route from Beringia into the rest of the Americas.

We applied luminescence dating to a series of beach ridges from a pluvial lake in the Clover Valley, Nevada, to assess paleoclimate conditions during the post-glacial period to the early Holocene.
